Horn Modification

During my daily vehicle inspection I found that the horn bracket had broken and one of the two horns was now hanging on its wires and rubbing against the power steering cooling loop.  The horn bracket appeared to have a fatigue crack, probably caused by the design of such a long arm with the horn on the end.  The vibration caused by driving off-road is clearly too much for this design.

I decided it would be pointless to weld the broken bracket or replace it with a new bracket as it would only fail again due to it unsuitable design for a 4×4!  However, there is a bumper support brace in the location of the horns, so to support them I simply drilled two holes through this bracket.  In my opinion this is a much better solution for the horn mounting.
